BOULDER, Colo. (Oct. 24, 2019) – Family Resource Schools and Columbine Elementary School has partnered with Cozy Coats for Kids® to provide more than 30 brand-new winter coats to students and their siblings attending the elementary school. The Family Resource Schools (FRS) is a joint partnership between the City of Boulder and the Boulder Valley School District, which serves children and families at five elementary schools in Boulder.

With the funds raised by inspectors throughout the year, and as part of the Cozy Coats for Kids® Annual Coat Delivery Program, each new coat was purchased especially for each child based on their own style and color preference, according to requests submitted by classroom teachers of the elementary school. This delivery was coordinated in early September, and the coats were delivered to the students by mid-October, just in time for a surprise snowfall.

Cozy Coats for Kids® was especially pleased to coordinate this delivery because it provided an opportunity for InterNACHI® and the House of Horrors® to give back to their local community of Boulder.

InterNACHI® is the world’s largest home inspector trade association, with 23,000 members in North America. Its InterNACHI® School is the only home inspector training organization accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education. InterNACHI’s House of Horrors®, located inside InterNACHI® Headquarters, is an actual house with a thousand defects purposely built-in. This one-of-a-kind training facility allows inspectors to take live classes and get hands-on training from Certified Master Inspectors®.
