BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 20, 2023) – InterNACHI® recently hosted its Annual Online Christmas Party last week. The largest virtual event in the inspection industry, it went on all day and was joined online by thousands of inspectors throughout the U.S. and Canada, bringing everyone together for some holiday fun and to help raise funds for InterNACHI’s charity, Cozy Coats for Kids®.
InterNACHI® staff posted prizes for inspectors to win on its message board throughout the day and evening. Prizes included textbooks, tools, apparel, marketing materials, and other inspection-related items donated by InterNACHI® and inspection industry vendors. The House of Horrors®, InterNACHI’s hands-on training facility, contributed 13 paid registrations for various inspector training classes. Contributions also included free passes to the upcoming TPREIA-InterNACHI® Convention in January, and InterNACHI’s 2024 Professional Inspectors Convention in October, having a total value of nearly $15,000. InterNACHI’s Marketing Department provided free marketing design services and printed materials, including 1,000 custom business cards, 1,000 custom tri-fold brochures, and 250 custom “Now That You’ve Had a Home Inspection” books valued at $1,500. One of the much-anticipated items to win by attendees was the Marten Inspection Crawler Robot, which was provided by Uplink Robotics, at a value of $2,895.
In addition to the crawler robot, the grand prizes included: a well inspection pump flow gauge set, valued at $649; a Tramex MRH III Moisture and Humidity Meter, a $690 value; and a FLIR C5 Compact Thermal Camera, costing $819 and donated by Inspector Outlet.
Some of the prize winners have posted their photos on social media.
In a Facebook post, Jenn McCurry of Serenity Property Inspections wrote, “Shout-out to Nick Gromicko, Inspector Outlet, and the InterNACHI team! ‘St. Nick’ delivered early for Christmas! Super-thrilled with the CCPIA swag, and especially the FLIR C5! Just what I had on my wish list. Have a magical Christmas and a prosperous New Year!”
And Fred Leppard of Leppard Inspections posted, “When Ben Gromicko said not to miss the Christmas party, he really meant it! I won so many cool things. Basically, my whole outfit in the pic, a new mug, my son’s super inspector cape-floor mat, lots of print materials, and more.”
Throughout the day, InterNACHI® encouraged attendees to donate any amount to Cozy Coats for Kids®. Inspectors raised over $4,500 for the charity’s Annual Coat Giveaway Program, and donations are still coming in.
The highest donation of $1,000 came from InterNACHI® member Larry Kage, which he made on behalf of his daughter, Christen Kage Quintero. Additional high donations came from David Wigger of BASIS Inspections ($500), and Kevin Leonard of The Ohio Home Inspections Company ($400). This was the second year in a row that Leonard made a high donation during the Annual Christmas Party.
Many of the inspectors who have donated are listed on the Cozy Coats for Kids® Donors Page.
