Every week, InterNACHI® hosts its Tuesday Night Auction to help raise money for Cozy Coats for Kids®. The auction takes place on the InterNACHI® Inspection Community Message Board under the Special Deals Forum. Items up for grabs include inspection tools and apparel, gold, and collectibles. You can typically find multiple weeks’ worth of items available for bidding on the forum at any given time.
This is a donation-based auction. The total amount of the winning bid goes toward purchasing new winter coats for children across the country, and it’s tax-deductible. All are welcome to participate.
How It Works
1. InterNACHI® posts an auction item under the Special Deals Category. Each post is titled with the day it ends and the item being auctioned. In the following example, the auction ends on April 18, 2023, and the item up for grabs is a 1-ounce gold coin.
This week’s (April 18, 2023) Tuesday Night Auction for Charity: 1-ounce gold coin
2. Participates bid a dollar amount by replying to the original post up until the auction ends at 9 p.m. EST.
3. InterNACHI® replies to the post at 9 p.m. EST and names the highest bidder as the winner of the item. The winner is prompted to make a donation in the amount of the winning bid to Cozy Coats for Kids® and to provide their shipping address. The item is shipped directly to the winner, with no additional shipping costs.
Sometimes the auction bids come down to the final minute. We recommend subscribing in order to post, and if you’re interested in being notified of new auction posts, register as a guest on the forum.
Why Participate?
Cozy Coats for Kids® is the official charity of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI®). Its Annual Coat Delivery Program is made possible through the generous support of inspection industry professionals. This program provides brand-new winter coats to kids for free across the nation.
All donations are tax-deductible, and winners are eligible for a free business listing that includes their company name and logo on the Cozy Coats for Kids® Donors page.
