BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 19, 2022) – Cozy Coats for Kids® recently provided 40 brand-new winter coats to Birth Brite Foster Closet in Jackson, Mich. Birth Brite Foster Closest offers free clothing, toys, hygiene products, and other items to the foster care community through their bricks-and-mortar store and special events. The coats were distributed at their Coats and Comfort II event.
Cozy Coats for Kids® coordinated the order with Executive Director Monique Zantop. CCFK provided a coat for each child based on their favorite color and style, and shipped all of them directly to Birth Brite Foster Closet in time for their event.
In a letter sent to CCFK, Zantop stated, “Our Coats and Comfort II event was a huge success! We provided brand-new winter coats, hats, gloves, boots, blankets, and comfort items to 91 children experiencing foster care. It’s amazing what can happen when we work together. Providing them with warm winter apparel goes far beyond physical warmth; the gift of a coat and boots radiate outward and helps make the children in foster care feel a little less vulnerable. You truly made a difference.”
The coats were purchased with the generous donations from members of the home inspection industry. To support Cozy Coats for Kids®, visit www.CozyCoatsforKids.org/Donate.
