BOULDER, Colo. (Nov. 16, 2021) – Cozy Coats for Kids® recently provided brand-new children’s winter coats at a banquet honoring veterans over the Veterans Day weekend. The event was hosted by Dr. Patti Lorick, the executive director of the Kingdom of Heaven Is at Hand, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a mission of helping families in need.

The event honored the local community’s veterans and their families. Through its partnership with Cozy Coats for Kids®, the families in need with children ages 5-16 had the opportunity to order brand-new winter coats and pick them up at the event. The coats were provided as part of the Cozy Coats for Kids® Annual Coat Delivery Program. Dr. Lorick works closely with Philadelphia’s youth and struggling families, and was able to easily coordinate the coat delivery and ensure that many children are ready for the cold winter months ahead.

Cozy Coats for Kids® depends on volunteers like Dr. Lorick to help with its Annual Coat Delivery Program. The volunteers start coordinating with charity organizations beginning at the end of summer and early fall. The coats are purchased using the donations collected.
