BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 17, 2024) — Cozy Coats for Kids® recently partnered with KIPP Atlanta Schools, a network of tuition-free public charter schools located in Atlanta and East Point. The coats were delivered to families identified as homeless or experiencing financial hardship.
KIPP Atlanta Schools’ mission of empowering families and helping students focus on learning dovetails with the mission of CCFK. KIPP Coordinator Elissa Chaplin said, “Providing families with the essentials allows them to focus on being their best selves, which, in turn, helps students come to school every day prepared to learn.”
Chaplin continued, “Cozy Coats for Kids® has also allowed me to focus on finding other resources and providing more students with services and referrals because one task has been taken off my plate. It can be difficult to find resources, and not having them on hand to give to parents when they are experiencing a difficult time can be disheartening. Schools are one of the first places parents turn to for help, and it is a great honor to be able to take care of one thing on their list of needs.”
The CCFK Annual Coat Delivery Program is made possible through the generous support of inspection industry professionals and others who believe in the charity’s mission to improve the well-being of children in need by giving them the opportunity to choose their own brand-new winter coat.
