BOULDER, Colo. (Nov. 16, 2023) — The Charlton Street School in Southbridge, Mass., has been a partner of Cozy Coats for Kids® since the organization’s inception. They were among the very first recipients of free coats from CCFK.

Administrative staffer Esther Vargas, the dedicated point of contact for the Charlton Street School, has worked closely with CCFK for the past five years on an as-needed basis. This year, Vargas reached out to express the school’s need for winter coats, as they welcomed a new group of parents and students who were facing financial difficulties during the approaching cold winter months.

CCFK responded swiftly by delivering free brand-new winter coats in sizes ranging from toddler to young adult.

Vargas said, “We wanted to share with you that we received the coats, and they were just in time for our first flurry of snowflakes and drop in temperature. Every coat you sent found an excited and proud small owner, with extras sent home for younger siblings. Our new special-needs Pre-K and Kindergarten students were also recipients of these coats.”

She continued, “Words cannot express our gratitude. Both parents and students are overwhelmed with appreciation. I know you help out a lot of schools. but in this town, where people still walk as the main source of transportation, you and your work are answered prayers.”

Vargas shared photos of some of the children with their brand-new winter coats.
